The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
